I've been thinking about this for a long time now, well over half a year. I debated it back and forth but at last I've decided that I'm going to leave dA. This place doesn't feel the same as it did when I first came on 5 years ago (that long?). Nevertheless, I think that dA has helped me grow as an artist and has inspired me greatly.

I'm not leaving because of problems with the community or anything like that. I'm leaving because I don't do anything on here. I haven't submitted in ages and the only thing I ever do on this account is look at the art work from the people that I watch. I will probably wander here from time to time, but I don't want to submit anything anymore.

I know this is werid to say but dA is not the art direction I want to go. Let me explain: I feel that dA is a place where you display for final and polished work. things you've put lots of time and love into. Most of my friends know about the worlds in my head, and to me, they are more than loved, but works in progress. When I draw, its either for school or to get an idea out of my head, like how you would write a sticky note to remind yourself of something you thought of at a later time. My drawings are hardly ever finished, and less likely to be ever color. My sketch book is my post-it. And right now, its very personal with ideas I would like to one day share with the world. But, until it's complete, I want to keep it all to myself.

I want to thank everyone who has ever wacthed my work for their support. You're the reason that I was on here for so long! And thank you to my real friends. You guys have all made me want to become a better artist and are great inspirations. Each time I put a pencil to the paper, its for you!

In any case, it goes without saying that I'll be taking down all of my work. Thank you for everything dA. Maybe one day I'll come back to you. Continue to be a great place and inspire art!
